Count Dracula led large crowds of young children and their parents on a unique Spooks Parade to kick off the Halloween season at Parkway Retail Park on Saturday (October 29).
Hundred of local kids in their Halloween finery travelled from store to store on a spooky adventure, trick or treating staff and customers alike.
And, not to be outdone, many of the staff of the stores were kitted out in their ghoulish best.
A Halloween DJ blasted out the tunes as kids were entertained by face-painters and magicians, with Dracula hosting a series of Halloween games before departing to each of the shops for a trick or treat invasion.
“This event was a great opportunity for kids to go trick or treating with their parents, and in safety,” said Aengus McCarthy, Property Manager, Parkway Retail Park.
“This was our second annual Halloween event at Parkway Retail Park and we are already looking forward to our Christmas ‘Find the Elf’ competition which begins this weekend.”
The Parkway Retail Park ‘Find the Elf’ competition will make it a Christmas to remember for one lucky family who will win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to see Santa Claus in Lapland, thanks to Sunway Holidays.
To be in with a chance of winning this unforgettable family trip, all readers must do is visit Parkway Retail Park and ‘find the elf’ hidden in one of the retail stores.
Once readers have found the life-size cut-out they should take an ‘elfie’ with Santa’s little helper and post it to the competition gallery on parkwayretail.ie or on the Parkway Retail Park Facebook page.
Beginning on November 5, the competition will select one finalist at random each Friday until December 9.
A grand final will then be held at Parkway Retail Park on Saturday, December 10 as part of the annual ‘Letter to Santa’ event.
